Everyone is different. But the foods that doctors and dieticians most often list as foods to avoid are:
Chocolate, coffee (including decaf), alcohol, tomato and tomato products, garlic, onions, peppers, mint, citrus fruits and juices, all carbonated drinks and fatty foods (fried or otherwise)
Some people find other foods bother them like: broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, salad dressings with vinegar, regular dairy products, black pepper, mustard, curry.
These are the most common trigger foods. You may find that other foods bother you as well. If you are lucky, you might find that common triggers don’t really bother you in small amounts. Take the time to investigate this by using a Food Diary of everything you eat and how you feel before and afterwards. You can download my Food Diary free by clicking on the link in the “My Shared Files” box on the bottom right of this page.
Since all of us are on this journey together, let’s share other foods we’ve found that create symptoms. If you’ve found receipes that work well for you, please post them on the recipe page!

I have discovered that nutmeg really bothers me. That was a suprise to me since I don’t view it as being really spicey. Who knew?
