Eating With GERD

Recipes

This page is for recipes that are found to have no obvious GERD triggers.  I’m going to guess that if you made it to this page you are just as frustrated as I am about the recipes for GERD sufferers you find online.  I am amazed to see GERD-safe recipes with garlic and black pepper as ingredients.  What?  Are you kidding?  What we really want to see is a recipe that traditionally uses some of the ingredients we want to avoid and provide alternative preparation suggestions.

If you’ve adapted a recipe or have found great substitutions for offending ingredients, please share!  What, or what, can replace my beloved tomatoes???

I find that I enjoy plain low fat yogurt on a baked potato instead of butter or sour cream. I’ve never cared for fat-free sour cream, so this gives me the moisture needed to eat the potato. I don’t miss the butter at all!
